Rena Thorsen
Ms. Rena Thorsen is Celeriti's
President and CEO. Ms Thorsen is an experienced business executive,
learning
strategist and visionary with leadership experience at both large
corporations as well as private
start up businesses. Ms. Thorsen was a
Division President and then Senior VP of Global Learning Systems'
Corporate
Marketing, responsible for
building the company's global marketing organization and for
directing
all strategic worldwide
marketing.
Prior to Global Learning Systems, Ms. Thorsen was a founding
Principal of Savant, LLC and facilitated its
acquisition by Global Learning
Systems. As the CEO and President of Savant, Ms. Thorsen built the
company
and was responsible for exceeding the company's aggressive revenue target.
Under her leadership, Savant became industry recognized as a major player in
the Learning marketplace.
Over the past 25 years, Ms. Thorsen
has held various executive positions that include: Director of Federal
Education
at AT&T; Senior VP of Professional Services at IMC (the first
acquisition by BEA Systems);
and Senior Director of Worldwide Corporate
Education at BEA Systems, Inc.
Ms. Thorsen’s experience ranges from
Business Strategy and Operations, to Marketing and Sales.
She was
responsible for developing and building a worldwide education channel for
both UNIX Systems
Laboratories and BEA Systems.
Ms. Thorsen has been a member of The
Masie Online Learning Council, CEdMA,
IDC's Enterprise Technology Trends (ETT)
Advisory Council, ITTACompTIA,
United Nations World Food Organization, NJ
Technology Council and Community Options Business Advisory Council.
Ms.
Thorsen is also a regular presenter at global e-Learning conferences and is
considered to be a respected
voice in the industry.
Ms. Thorsen and her family make their home in Basking
Ridge, NJ.
