Paul Seldes is an industry leading learning strategist. He has been
responsible for the strategic and architectural direction on challenging
education projects for government agencies as well as Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies. He is a founding partner
and director of the Public Safety Division at Celeriti, LLC, an education solutions company and a board member of ntb group, LLC, a computer integration and internet security company. He
is also an adviser to RICE International Relief Corp (www.ricereliefcorp.org),
a global humanitarian organization.
Mr. Seldes has over 20 years of experience in the technology and
business solutions as well as defense industry, law enforcement, and
Homeland Security training. Mr. Seldes has developed complex learning
programs for agencies such as the US Navy, DHS, FEMA, FBI, US Army, DEA,
among others.
He was the Chief Solutions Architect at Global Learning Systems where he
engineered strategies for government and global enterprise customers including Lockheed-Martin, IBM, Newport News
Shipbuilding, American Red Cross, FBI, US Marine Corp, and FEMA. As a
founder of Savant, LLC, Mr. Seldes developed the learning strategy
approach of "start with the end in mind" and focusing on driving
solutions based on business needs and requirements. Mr. Seldes was the
Chief Technologist at Transaction Information Systems (now Starpoint
Solutions) where he was responsible for the development of major
transactional and e-commerce solutions and trading systems. He has held
senior positions at several large US multi-national banks (MHT Co.,
Chemical Bank, Chase Manhattan) where he was responsible for creating
global risk, portfolio and trading management strategies. He has
provided strategic consulting to major software companies including
Microsoft, Oracle, Lotus, Macromedia and IBM.
Mr. Seldes has served in
an advisory capacity to a number of US government agencies including the
Internet Joint Task Force Risk and Vulnerability Working Group and the
Federal Reserve Bank. As an educator his background includes teaching at the American
Institute of Banking (AIB) and serves on the visiting faculty of the
City University of New York (CUNY). He is a frequent author and guest
lecturer at various technology and education conferences. He is a member
of the Florida Emergency Prepared ness Association (FEPA), International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), and ASTD (American Society
of Training and Development).
Mr. Seldes also holds several certifications in
emergency management disciplines and has worked in Operations, Logistics and Planning roles including Mass Care, Logistics and
SAR (search and rescue). He has completed federal government certifications in NIMS (National Incident Management System) and ICS (Incident Command System).
Mr. Seldes spent 9 months after September 11, 2001 working on the WTC
Task Force first in search-and-rescue and later with logistical and
operational support. He was a first responder on the site having been a
survivor of the initial attack. In 2005 Mr. Seldes worked with a RICE Relief Corp medical strike team as a logistics and Ops officer to provide medical support in Mississippi after Hurrican Katrina.
He consults frequently to firms in the learning industry and serves on
the board of several learning technology companies. He is an active
American Red Cross Disaster Services national volunteer and a certified
Red Cross Trainer. He serves as the Disaster Services Committee Chair at
the North Treasure Coast Chapter of the Red Cross. He and his wife
Paula, make their home in Vero Beach, Florida. |
